Programm
- Meeting at our Info Point Ashàra located at Piazzale Rifugio Sapienza Etna Sud and after equipment check and briefing, our adventure will begin: a spectacular trek to the top of Etna
- With cable car and bus 4x4 we will reach about 2800 m asl and from here in about 2 hours of walking through lava flows and lunar-looking environments, we will reach the Etna Summit Craters. Here, we will walk on the spectacular rim of the Central Crater, we will face the vertiginous Northeast Crater and we will admire the famous Southeast Crater, author of the most recent and impressive eruptions. In addition to the vastness of the summit craters, you will admire a unique volcanic environment, with gas emissions, volcanic bombs, and the sparkling colors of the ground due to the sublimation of various elements, including sulfur in particular. During the descent we will visit the Barbagallo craters and cross a lava flow channel.
- Once again at 2500 masl with the Etna cable car we will return to the starting point.

Important to know
- Trekking aimed for trained hikers used to walk on sandy or detrital ground, where there may be no paths and where the paths can sometimes have exposed sections
- It's good to know your health conditions and talk with the guide, especially in cases of heart problems, asthma and dizziness.
- At the discretion of the guide, the excursions may undergo variations or be interrupted if the weather conditions, causes of an environmental nature, or any volcanic risk, may represent any source of danger.
